A delicate process respecting the sensitivity and delicacy of the onyx. Man has been connected to materials and tools for thousands of years. Technology has changed the dynamic, yet patience remains. A lesson in patience.

The impious intersection of materials. The melding of marble and onyx, merged together in an ode to the curve. Starting from rectangular blocks, they are polished, bonded, and placed on the turning lathe. Slowly hewn to form the graceful curve, the inside is carved to create the vessel.
